Video: Suits & Cyphers

Kanye West, Pusha T, Big Sean Cyhi Da Prynce and Common from the 2010 BET Hip Hop Awards. Minus the canned cheering (come better, BET!) this is a great clip:

Sit & Look Cute....Then Your Hair Catches Fire.

This is a clip of the live Ustream from the Diddy Dirty Money Last Train to Paris album release party. Pay attention to the chick in the hot tub:

Oh, SMH.

Video editing: Storytimes PSA

My latest editing project - a video promoting storytimes for The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. Hours of reviewing really cute footage into iMovie and simple layering & polishing in Adobe Premiere Pro resulting in this 58 second clip. Enjoy!

Visual Goodies: Rihanna's Rude Boy music video + behind-the-scenes footage

I'm a newbie to video editing. I've taken a few classes on the basics, and I've been in trial-and-error mode lately with Adobe Premiere. Thank goodness for tutorials!
When I watch t.v. or the occasional movie, I'm observing transitions, camera angles, graphics, the timing of music, all sorts of elements. Editing has altered the way I watch video.
The title "Visual Goodies" is my way of sharing clips that I find, well, interesting.
Here's Rihanna's latest music video, Rude Boy. This video is so heavy with colors, unique outfits, and graphics, that it's almost too much to watch! Some of the patterns in the video gives me a M.I.A. vibe. See what I mean. I also wondered after watching this for the first time if someone could have a seizure from all the layers of colors flashing. Hmmm.

Bonus! Found some behind-the-scenes footage, too! Loving the timing of the still shots/zoom-ins & zoom-outs in the intro (around 0:34-0:45). I need to practice that. :)
